Your 2026 Pride Portal

Looking for something fun to do this Pride Month? JP NOLA (Jewish Pride NOLA) is excited to offer three days of learning, community, and celebration.

Join us for one event or all three as we gather across New Orleans for an unforgettable Pride — together!

Thursday, June 11: Learn about the "Jewish Queen of Gay Mardi Gras"

Join JP NOLA board member and Tulane professor Golan Moskowitz for a fascinating look at the life and legacy of Mickey Gil, an unforgettable figure in New Orleans’ gay Carnival scene from the 1980s through the 2000s. Through archival footage, costumes, and oral histories, this program explores the brilliance and contradictions of queer Jewish performance culture in the South.

This event is co-sponsored by the Grant Center for the American Jewish Experience and JP NOLA, and will be offered both in person and virtually.

Saturday, June 13: March with JP NOLA in the New Orleans Pride Parade

SAVE THE DATE: On Saturday June 13, come march proudly with JP NOLA in the New Orleans Pride Parade! We’ll have a float, walkers, music, and plenty of community spirit as we celebrate Jewish and LGBTQ+ pride together.

Before the parade, join us for a pre-parade party from 3–5 PM. Party and meeting details will be shared closer to parade day.

Please note: Parade registration is required to march.

For the safety of our community, a private security detail has been hired for our krewe. We are also seeking volunteer parade marshals to participate in a brief pre-parade training on situational awareness and de-escalation tactics. Email tana@jewishnola.org for more info.
