The Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans hopes that you and your loved ones are safe following the heinous terrorist attack on New Year’s Day.
Those wishing to help the victims and their families may consider donating to the New Orleans New Year’s Day Tragedy Fund. Established in partnership with city leaders and the Greater New Orleans Foundation, this fund provides assistance to those impacted by this senseless act of violence.
You may donate to the fund directly or through your donor advised fund at the Jewish Endowment Foundation of Louisiana, via Donor Central. You may also email Nora Wyatt, Funds Manager at JEF.
Additionally, several blood drives are currently being held around the Greater New Orleans area to support medical care for the victims, including:
- The Blood Center: multiple locations, including its Canal Street and Edenborn Avenue offices.
- The LCMC blood bank at East Jefferson General Hospital on Houma Avenue
- Ochsner Blood Bank on Jefferson Highway.
